Hello everyone! As future educators, what seems to be a common problem is getting students captivated in the subject we teach. I enjoy learning about science but I know everybody has their own interests. In my Intro to Research course that I took as an undergraduate, the first thing that my professor asked us in the beginning of class was what was our scientific itch? Basically, a scientific itch is a science related concept or topic that you are extremely curious about that you must further investigate in more detail. One of my scientific itches is the deep deep parts of the ocean. Did you know that we know more about outer space than we do the deep sea? That is pretty crazy!
So for this discussion, tell us what is your scientific itch/itches and why you are so interested in it.
